I really have no use for a pickup, but it’s been a while since I last saw an S10/S15 looking this nice. I’m kind of tempted, but I really prefer the Blazers/Jimmys.

Terrible picture, but the seats at least look fantastic

I didn’t know the Sanoma had a different name in Cannukistan.

For that gen it was a s15 for some reason. It became the Sonoma for the next gen I believe

Did you also get the Isuzu Hombre?

It’ll be a lot cooler after you buy it and stick a small block under the hood.

If I had a space indoors to work, I’d considering learning how to tackle that

That gen s15 seemed to be sold as the s15 in the states also.
You might just be too young to remember them

It was the S-15 here in freedom land as well for most of the first gen. I got into a big stupid argument with a kid about that when I was in middle school ... I lost.

$1500 Maple-bucks!?!?!?! That would be $4k easy in Chicagoland... if you could find one that nice ... which you can’t. Why do you have to be so far away?

I’m surprised it’s so cheap, this is a pretty normal price for them, but they’re usually all faded and clearly beat

Yeah, that’s the case here too. Clean ones go much higher. If that truck was within a half days drive, I’d buy it right damn now.

I’m considering it, but I’m having a hard time justifying buying and insuring something that I have no use for. I mean I could probably find use for it......it’s close enough to me I might just go and see if it’s really as good as it looks

I’ve found a dilemma
http://vancouver.craigslist.ca/van/ctd/5891071141.html
2.8 + 5 speed or 4.3 + auto?

That’s a tough one. The 2.8 is a bit of a turd. How big/tall are you? Regular cab S-10's are quite small.

I totally understand. I already have a truck, and I’d buy this truck too.

I’m 5'10", 150lbs or so. I’m not a huge fan of regular cabs but the orange is pretty cool. The 2.8 does sound like a depressing motor

The orange is cool. You’re skinny enough to fold yourself up and pull off the regular cab. I don’t think you’ll want to take any road trips in it though. The 2.8 is the real killer here. All the power of a 4-cylinder, with the gas mileage of a 6-cylinder.

I disagree, owning a truck is like drugs: once you own your first, you can’t go back.

Yeah, it would especially be disappointing since I’ve spent so much time with a 4.3. I guess the GMCs 4.3 would be low on power compared to that too, but in a lighter truck

I know my Blazer was an SUV, but it still had that effect. I miss it because of it’s truckishness, not in spite of it

I saw a pre 1990 S10 Blazer 2 door at Menards about a week ago that blew my mind. It was “Victory Red” and immaculate, not one flaw. I think it’s owner was getting a little freaked at my gawking over it.
Must have come from the same time warp as this pickup.

I had both an ‘89 and a ‘98 S-10 back in the day. They were both extended cab, 2wd, 4.3, autos. My butt-dyno couldn’t tell the difference in power.
